Taking care of our feet is quite possibly one of the most fundamental aspects of our healthcare that we can do. Painful feet stop us from doing many daily activities such as walking, socialising and even just standing up. As we age our toenails grow much quicker and become more difficult to cut. Infection can get into the nail, nails can split and crumble and this can lead to changes in our walking patterns.
Susan Thompson-Craig has worked in the healthcare industry as a medical device manager for over 16 years. For the last 12 years she has worked with medical-grade manuka honey & tissue technology regeneration products in wound care.
Much of her time has been dedicated to working with doctors and nurses across different areas of the NHS. In particular she has worked with podiatrists, Podiatric and Orthopaedic surgeons and it is those experiences that lead her to feet! Having trained as a Foot Healthcare Practitioner with the SMAE Institute, one of the leading providers of foot health training in the UK she is now offering a wide range of treatments in footcare. She is passionate about making a difference in people's lives and prevent what could be a small problem from escalating into a bigger issue. She has worked in the high risk foot clinics across much of East Anglia and she believes she can support patients to have happy and safer feet and therefore stay active for much longer.
